Down an old dirt road, deep in the recesses of Hanover County, you may hear the percussive strumming of a flat top guitar accompanied by a set of rawhide boots stomping out a rhythm to the tune sailing out on the wind.

Follow this sound to its origin and you'll find Chris Adams, sitting out on the back porch, hammering out the final version of some new song; writing, rewriting, turning each phrase until all the puzzle pieces come together to form the picture on the box top.

"There's just some magic that happens when after all the blood, sweat, and tears that go along with the writing process, it finally clicks and you know you've said what you wanted to say and it makes sense, not only to you, but to someone else. That's the payoff."

Making music, not only for himself, but for other artists as well, he has produced and engineered a number of projects for various East Coast, regional, and even a couple of international artists.

As for his own performances, he's opened up for such national artists as David Wilcox, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Pat Benatar, Shooter Jennings, Pierce Pettis, and American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks.
